That's a good title because it is hot out there. We have been getting more rain than last year but the fire danger is still pretty high.
We were on vacation last week. We took one small road trip through Duncan, Comanche and to Walters. The rest of the time we stayed close to home. It's too hot to go out very far. We cleaned my mom's house on Monday. The other day, Thursday, I think, we cleaned one room in Bill's mom's house. That's all we could handle it is so very dirty. She is definitely a hoarder. Not extreme like on TV but bad enough. It makes cleaning very hard because she has all this stuff and we really can't throw any of it away because it's important to her. But that one room is dusted and vacuumed. That's the room she spends most of her time in so hopefully she will feel better. Next time we will tackle her bedroom and bathroom.
We've been eating out a lot and even though I've tried to be careful I think I took in some gluten because I have all the symptoms. Hope they go away soon.
We've been watching the show Hoarders on TV and think it's beginning to influence Bill. He has hoarding tendencies and he's beginning to recognize them. He is now willing to part with stuff and he's getting more control over the desire to go out and buy stuff. We both love handmade pottery so we're going to concentrate on collecting that instead of buying for the sake of buying. We're giving our M&M figurine collection to Bill's sister and my horse figurine collection to his great-niece. Those were impulse buys rather than things that we really loved.
Photo of the day, a little abandoned church building we found about halfway between Comanche and Walters.

Love that photo. It's just so real. Love the place names too. They sound so romantic. Would gladly swap our cold weather for your heat.
