Victorian Christmas Village

This last week my church had what we have been calling a Victorian Christmas Village.  The public was invited.  The village was in our gym and we had entertainment, choirs and bands and so forth playing for people in the next room.  It was a great success.  A lot of people came every night.  We had shops where kids could make candles, decorate cookies, families could have their photos made, kids made ornaments and people donated food for the food bank.  We also had a little cafe that served cocoa, coffee, hot cider and cinnamon rolls.  It was a lot of work but worth it.  It took several weeks and a lot of volunteers to build everything.  Next year it won't be so hard because all we will have to do is put everything together.  We are going to leave the village set up until January.  It took so long to put it together we may as well enjoy it for a while.

Needless to say all the photos of the day will be of the village.

And this is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.

Very cool! :) And it reminds me of our little town at Christmas. What a neat idea!
