I found the following poem in a book that I have been reading, Victory Over the Darkness by Neil T. Anderson.
People are unreasonable, illogical and self-centered,
Love them anyway.
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish, ulterior motvies.
Do good anyway.
If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.
The good you do today will be fogotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.
The biggest people with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest people with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.
People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for the underdog anyway.
What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.
People really need help, but may attack you if you help them.
Help people anyway.
Give the world the best you've got and you'll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you've got anyway.
Photo of the day, another rerun. I really need to get out and take some more. Maybe tomorrow. This photo was taken out at a ranger's headquarters on the Refuge. I don't know if it's supposed to be a birdhouse or maybe a squirrel feeder.
Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned, as it were, with salt, so that you may know how you should respond to each person.
Colossians 4:6

Sorry about the allergies. I suffer too with seasonal allergies (what season do I not suffer?) so understand all too well.
Liked the poem.
Don't you wish we'd get a real Autumn like some folks in other parts of the world instead of 80° temps one day and then winter hits??? Grrr.
That's a great poem!
I really hope that your allergies clear up soon. Thank you for sharing that poem. It's wise and wonderful.
